Sunday, January 4

OK - it is time to get back in the routine of getting up in the morning and going to work. I have not been at school since December 12! I took off a week (will never get over the guilt) to take a cruise with our daughter, her fiancee, and his parents. We left Bedford on the morning of December 13 and drove to Richmond where we caught a flight to San Juan. We met Erin, Chris, and Chris's parents, Pat and Dick there and on Sunday, we boarded the Caribbean Princess for an unbelievable week. It was truly the trip of a lifetime. My only regret is that Erin and Chris flew back to Seattle on the 22nd and she was not at home for Christmas for the first time in her 27 years. But we were happy that our son Kenny was able to make it.

I missed the December 15 meeting, so I have been working on it at home (of course I put it off until the night before school starts again.) I think I can handle Flickr, as I have been using Photobucket for some time and they seem similar. Right now I am waiting for some cruise photos to upload.

Looks like we are meeting tomorrow and learning about some more things that I have never heard of. Promises to be an interesting day!

Making Blogs

Well, I have already learned some new things today. I have seen blogs, but had no idea how to set one up. This is pretty easy! I will have to spend some more time exploring and playing with Blogger. There is so much out there to learn, but so little time so learn it. You can really eat up time fooling with computers and web pages and trying to figure out things on your own, so this class is very helpful. I look forward to learning a lot more in the next few months.

7 1/2 Habits of Lifelong Learners

I love those 7 ½ habits of lifelong learners! I think of myself as a lifelong learner and do love to learn new things. My biggest obstacle is time and disciplining myself to use my time in the wisest way. I believe that most of us could do more with our days if we budgeted our time more carefully. That is something that I will need to work on. I find that I actually accomplish the most when I am the busiest, because I have to make a schedule and stick to it. I love lists and schedules because they help me to organize my time and help me to avoid wasting time. I will do that as I work through these lessons.
